Turnaround Time:

My turnaround time and rates are based on a standard Monday-Friday workweek. What this means for you is that if you send me a job at noon on Wednesday and want standard turnaround, you will receive the proofed job back by noon on Friday. If you send this same job at noon on Thursday, you’ll have it back by noon on Monday.

Weekend and holiday work will be accepted based on availability and charged at an expedited or rush rate. Feel free to send me an email, and I’ll see what I can do! Likewise, if you have an especially large job to send my way, let me know ahead of time; I’ll be better able to arrange my time so as to give your job the attention it deserves.

If you have a large transcript (100+ pages) that needs to be proofed, how about you send it to me in stages? While you’re still scoping page 127, I can be proofing pages 1-100. Working simultaneously means your work gets done faster and your own turnaround time is less.

I’m based in the United Kingdom, which is in Greenwich Mean Time and 5-8 hours ahead of the United States. However, I’m available via email until the end of the US workday. If you send an email at 11:00 pm EST, there might be a slight delay in responding—after all, I need sleep too! But send that same email at 11:00 pm PST? I’ll probably already be at my computer. One benefit of the time difference is that I can be hard at work on your transcripts while you’re still asleep. Do you know what’s almost as good as your first coffee of the day? Opening your inbox in the morning to see your proofed work already returned!

Extra Charges:

I do reserve the right to charge extra if your transcript is messy, needs to be scoped, or is a rough draft, as well as if the transcript is very technical or contains a lot of information that must be looked up. Should I run into either of these issues, I’ll let you know by email as soon as possible so that you can choose how to proceed. However, this extra charge ensures that I can spend longer per page making sure that your transcript is as accurate and clear as possible.

Invoicing & Payment:

I send out invoices twice a month (on the 1st and the 15th) and expect payment within 30 days of receipt. If you’re one of my regular clients and would prefer to be billed only once a month, let me know. New clients will be invoiced immediately after their first job is returned. Late payments are subject to a late fee of 10% per month on the balance of the invoice.

On the subject of payment, I prefer bank transfers via Google Wallet, but I can also accept credit and debit card payments. Google Wallet is a completely free service that allows you to make payment via bank transfer or credit and debit card, regardless of whether or not you have a Google+ or Gmail account.

Payments can also be made using a debit or credit card through my invoicing software, and a link to pay with this method is included in the email containing your invoice.
